Packaged Plays

Hello! Today, my post will discuss the my ethics, reasons and the purpose behind Packaged Plays. Since I'm feeling generous today I'll even supply a few of the Packaged Plays I use in NCAA Football 14. This post will also discuss when, why, and how to use the Packaged Plays.

What is a Packaged Play?

The phrase or title "Packaged Play" can be slightly misleading because of the word packaged; but have no fear. The word was added to not ... Read More

What's Defense to an Offensive Coordinator

What's Defense to an Offensive Coordinator, Offensive-Minded, or Offensive genius? Most coaches wouldn't respond. I've noticed for the past couple of seasons in college football that most High-Powered Offenses have little to no defense. This seemingly applies to the NFL also. You can look at teams from Oregon to Oklahoma State to West Virginia to Baylor to Arizona. These defenses can be reliable sometimes but are hardly the POWERhouse defenses ... Read More

Hi!
Now before I spill my playbook out, there are some clarifications that must be made:
  • This is not my SPRAID playbook
  • This is not an EXACT replica of any Multiple Offense coach's playbook
  • This is my TAKE on an offense
  • This does include some Corliss X magic in it
  • This playbook has been very successful on NCAA Football 14
  • This is a basic Multiple, Multi-Personnel, OCD Offensive Coordinator playbook with a few read concepts

A little information on this scheme

A Product of The Dana Offense

Now this is no informative post at all, necessarily. This is talking about the results of a wicked play. I mean the play was absolutely brilliant and crazy. This play happened today during a User Vs. CPU game of West Virginia (Me) vs. Texas. Mind you, this is on Offensive Coordinator Offline Dynasty and the settings are Heisman. This play is also the game winner which ups the epicness with less than 20 seconds on the clock. I literally called a simple ... Read More

The Buck Sweep (Will feature many diagrams)

Today, my post will be primarily breaking down, sharing the, and my ideas on the Buck Sweep and Buck Sweep Read. These plays have been in college football for a while. But like a good OC does they make old concepts relevant and successful. I first saw this play used by Gus Malzhan when he was OC at Auburn. I then noticed Oregon used the same play maybe a few weeks later and much more in the 2011 season with a read. Now you see teams like ... Read More

The Pistol - Full House Formation

Now my last post was on another play the F Lead Read Option or the Lead Read Option; as a result, thoughts rushed to my head to make a post about a WHOLE formation. What formation is better to post about than the Pistol - Full House Formation -- NONE.

History of The Full House Formation

The history of the Full House Formation dates back into the earlier days of football for Goaline formations. The Full House Formation ... Read More

The F Lead Read Option

The Pistol is one of the hottest Offenses and Formations to use on any level including the NFL--most importantly the NFL. NCAA Football 14 has just learned how set up the blocking scheme and dynamics of the play! This play is quite powerful due to the Read Option innovations added to NCAA Football 14. Today, I will discuss the play, how to use it and relate it back to the NFL and College Football today.

What is The F Lead Read Option?

The Inverted Veer

NCAA Football 14 has marketed itself with the truckload of new Spread formations and plays. The hardest and maybe the most confusing of them all is the Inverted Veer. The Inverted Veer has been around for a while now in the College Football World, but it has just been reintroduced to the NCAA Football gaming world. It's confusing for several reasons but I am here to break down the play, give some of its history, give tips on how and when to use it, and further ideas ... Read More

The SPRAID OFFENSE Part I

Hello, today I will be explaining the basics of my offense. The basics include: the staples, the belief system behind it, and a lot of the logistics.

The Staples

I've always believed that an offense should be built with staples. Oregon's staple is the Inside Zone Read (IZR), Mike Leach's Air Raid staple is the "Stick" play and Mesh Series, Gus Malzahn's could be the Inverted Veer. I like to have staple plays and staple formations ... Read More

The SPRAID Offense Part III

In this segment of the SPRAID Offense clinic I'll be explaining the basic rules, concepts, and strategy behind my run game -- the read option. I've been using the read option since NCAA Football 2010. I love the Inside Zone Read (IZR) and Outside Zone Read (OZR). If you have read my first post on the IZR and OZR, you would know these two work together.

Why do I use the Read Option in the run game ?

I use the read option to ... Read More
The SPRAID Offense Part II

Today, I will be explaining and breaking down concepts behind the SPRAID Offense. I've been running the Up-Tempo SPRAID Offense since NCAA Football 12. The offense really was inspired by what coaches like Dana Holgorsen, Chip Kelly, Chad Morris, Gus Malzhan, and Noel Mazzone do; despite them not all being HC's yet they are still formidable play-callers. All of them use some Air Raid and Spread concepts in their offense.

What is the SPRAID ... Read More

The new NCAA Football installment, NCAA Football 14, includes a slew of new Spread formations, concepts, and plays! This game nearly did a complete Spread make over which has created a variety in formations and plays. I'm going to discuss the real life ... Read More
